The San Juan Brewfest is a 21 and over event.

The San Juan Brewfest is a 21 and over event. No one under 21 is admitted into the event. We are offering a limited number of off site childcare spots this year for parents attending. Also no dogs or pets of any kind.

Event date and time – Saturday August 26 from 1 to 5 pm.

Location – Buckley Park at 12th Street and Main Avenue in Historic Downtown Durango.

The San Juan Brewfest is an adult only event. No one under 21 will be admitted.

Also no dogs or pets of any kinds are allowed.

If you show up at the event with your kids, dogs or pets, you will turned away. Please make arrangements in advance for children and pets. We have kids and dogs too, and like to take them to festivals. The San Juan Brewfest has grown both in attendance and in the amount of beer available, so children are no longer allowed into the event. Pets have never been allowed, so we are reminding you now to leave the pooch at home! See our childcare page for info on limited childcare offered this year.

TICKET PRICES

A General Admission ticket costs $30, plus $2.49 service charge (1,300 available before event, there might be a few left to sell at the gate)

An Upgraded General Admission ticket costs $45, plus a $3.24 service charge (200 available)

A VIP ticket costs $70, plus a $4.49 service charge. (250 available)

A Designated Driver ticket costs $15, plus a $1.74 service charge. DD’s must be at least 21 years old!

NEW – A VIP Designated Driver ticket costs $50, plus a small service charge. DD VIP’s must be at least 21 as well.

WHAT YOU GET

General Admission ticket holders gets a 5 oz souvenir tasting glass and unlimited tastings from the breweries and distilleries that are participating in this year’s San Juan Brewfest. We also have signed up two bands to play for you.

Upgraded General Admission ticket holders get the 5 oz souvenir tasting glass and unlimited tastings, plus you get in 1/2 hour early at 12:30 pm. You also get an event t-shirt included with your entry.

VIP ticket holders get a 5 oz souvenir tasting glass, unlimited tastings, and the following extras:

  • invite to the VIP and Brewers party the night before the Brewfest on Friday August 25 from 6 to 8 pm at DoubleTree by Hilton in Durango, with free appetizers and beer.
    • Beer – Odell Brewing Company has donated 90 Shilling Ale, India Pale Ale, Drumroll American Pale Ale, and Easy Street Wheat. We will also serve something yummy from Steamworks Brewing Company and Ska Brewing.
    • Food – here’s the menu …Vegetable Crudite, Domestic and International Cheese Display, Anti-pasta Display, Tomato Bruschetta, Arancini with Pasilla Marinara and Pecorino Cheese, Beef Sliders with Carmelized Onions, Pickles and Cheddar
  • early access to the Brewfest Saturday at noon, one hour before everyone else
  • access to the VIP Tent during the Brewfest. New this year, we are featuring a food and beer pairing collaboration between Carver Brewing Company, Ska Brewing and Steamworks Brewing Company in the VIP tent. This event will feature three specialty beers brewed by these award winning Durango breweries and available only to VIP’s. Each of these three beers will be complemented by a small dish demonstrating the exciting dynamics of food and beer pairing, and further demonstrating beer’s rightful place at the dinner table.
    • First Pairing
      • Beer – Steamworks Brewing Company Night Train Lager: a Munich Dunkel Lager that is smooth, rich and complex yet not heavy.  This brew has chocolate and roasted notes and finishes very clean as a good lager should. ABV 5.5, IBU 22, SRM 20.
      • Food – created by Chef Jeremy Storm from Ska Brewing: Smoked brisket slider: Sunnyside Farms beef brisket, house pretzel bun, caramelized onion, pickled jalapeno, Night Train whole grain beer mustard , James Ranch Mature Belford cheese.  German style potato salad
    • Second Pairing
      • Beer – Carver Brewing Company Pine River Double IPA: local grain and hops. Resinous and pine and grapefruit and a little pineapple.
      • Food – created by Chef Sean Clark from Steamworks Brewing Company: Korean BBQ  Sausage (made with Duroc Pork and Wagyu Beef) served with Ssamjang and a Grapefruit and Cilantro Soba Noodle Salad.
    • Third Pairing
      • Beer –  Ska Brewing Tart Mexican Logger: Mexi Logger brewery soured with Lime, Lemon and salt. Clean Lacto with lemony notes.
      • Food – created by Chef Dave Cuntz of Carver Brewing Company: Shooter of Olathe Corn chowder with a mini Ska beer braised pulled pork taco, with avocado sauce, salsa Verde and roasted Palisade peach jalapeno salad.

Designated Drivers are admitted into the event at 1 pm. Thank you for being the ultimate friend! As a reward for helping others get home safe, Designated Drivers will receive “mocktails” courtesy of Four Corners Broadcasting, Alpine Bank, and these restaurants:
